I bought these headphones a year ago thinking they will be sturdy and last. They broke last month and i have since been looking for new ones.
Alfas are really cool cars. Alfas are really cool cars and very few are sold in the states.Vibes are really cool headphones. If you buy them you will enjoy them until they break, which they will do, sooner than you hoped or, despite the many reviews, likely expected. an Alfa driver might wonder why their cars aren't more popular and don't have the market share of more mundane Hyndais and Toyotas. Other sets might be more expensive, sound worse and be and less comfortable, but they will more reliably let me listen to whatever they are plugged in to. Then their Alfas wont start, or will leave them stranded and they will be late to work, or stuck by the side of the road who knows where. They look great, are relatively inexpensive, drive very well, have handsome, stylish interiors. They are made of classy materials, they sound great, are comfortable and relatively inexpensive.
Then they wont care how great the car looks, or even how great it drives when it happens to be working. And, depending on their tolerance, they might consider replacing their Alfas, or if they can afford to, relegating them to weekend duty. I am currently considering what to do about my third set in a year with an earbud that stopped working. I'm an Alfa owner by the side of the road thinking about a Honda.
One of the wires broke so you only get sound in one ear. I loved these, but now they are not working. Bought them in Oct and now they are already broken. NOT GOOD, quality must be poor in how they build them. So now I have to find a new set that won't break so fast.
After the second pair, V-Moda would not replace them again. I LOVED them. I had V-Moda earbuds. I'm so sad, I don't know where to turn. until, that fateful wire break at the plug end. I took very good care of by V-Modas and to no avail, they broke. Although I was just looking for a new pair, and I noticed the V-Modas look like they have been redesigned in this area. I kept saying they need some rubber protective sleeve at that end of the cord to help prevent wire breakage.
Title says it all. Left channel/bud started to fade after 3 months of use. Never used earphones with ipod in pocket, so bending of cord was unlikely cause of fault. That said, Vmoda stood behind their product, and provided a quick exchange via mail with proof of purchase.Big picture: Tremendous value and sound. Earbuds are great for passive noise reduction of piped guido music at health club and aircraft noise.
